Second-year students from our Vocational School`s Medical Laboratory Techniques Program, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşegül OĞLAKÇI İLHAN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serhat SİREKBASAN, and Lecturer Ayşenur YILMAZ KABACA, conducted a technical field trip to Çankırı State Hospital and Çankırı Karatekin University Central Research Laboratory on December 16, 2025.
As part of the technical field trip, students visited the hospital`s biochemistry, microbiology, and pathology laboratories, receiving detailed information from officials about diagnostic processes, laboratory operations, and the equipment used. Students had the opportunity to observe the knowledge they gained in theoretical classes in a practical setting, thereby enhancing their professional knowledge and awareness.
It was stated that the technical field trip significantly contributed to the development of students` professional competencies, and that similar activities would continue in the future in line with the practice-based education approach. Thanks were extended to the management of Çankırı State Hospital and the laboratory supervisors for their efforts in organizing the technical field trip.
