Within the scope of the Science Talks Program supported by TÜBİTAK Science and Society Department, a seminar on “Microbiome and Healthy Nutrition” was held by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Oğlakçı İlhan, a faculty member of Şabanözü Vocational School, Department of Medical Services and Techniques, Medical Laboratory Techniques Program, at Çankırı Atatürk Primary School on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 10.30 am.
In the seminar organized for primary school students, what the microbiome is, the effects of beneficial microorganisms in our body on our health and the role of healthy nutrition on this balance were explained. While exploring the function of the microbiome with examples from daily life, students gained awareness about the importance of healthy eating habits.
At the end of the event, Çankırı Atatürk Primary School Principal presented a certificate of appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Oğlakçı İlhan for her contributions.
